Privacy policy
Last updated 28 August 2026. This policy covers thelastswish.us, an independent affiliate review site. We do not sell products, run a store, or take payments, so we collect very little.
1. Who we are
thelastswish.us ("we," "us," "the site") publishes independent reviews and guides about The Last Wish and related personal-development topics. We are not the seller of The Last Wish and are not affiliated with its creators. Purchases happen on third-party sites (ClickBank and the product's own checkout), each with its own privacy policy.
2. What we collect
- Analytics data: if analytics is enabled, we collect standard, mostly aggregated information, pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, referring site, and time on page, to understand what content is useful.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for analytics and, where present, to remember lightweight preferences. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
- Affiliate click information: when you click an affiliate link, the destination platform (e.g. ClickBank) may set a tracking cookie or append parameters so a sale can be attributed to us. We receive commission reports from that platform, not your personal details.
- Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.
We do not collect names, billing addresses or payment card details, because we do not process orders.
3. How we use it
- To measure and improve the site's content and performance.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To understand, in aggregate, which reviews and guides lead to affiliate referrals.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the site.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
4. Third-party services
The site may rely on third parties for hosting, analytics, font delivery and affiliate tracking. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own policies. Outbound links, including affiliate links to ClickBank and the product checkout, lead to sites we do not control; review their privacy policies before providing information there.
5. Data retention
Analytics data is retained for as long as it is useful for the purposes above, or as required by the analytics provider's defaults. Emails you send are kept as long as needed to handle your query and for our records.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. Because we hold very little identifiable data, in most cases this means email correspondence. To make a request, email editor@thelastswish.us.
7. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you certain rights over personal information a business collects about you. These include the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and how they are used, the right to request access to or deletion of that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The only information we collect is described in Section 2 (analytics data, cookies, affiliate click reporting from third-party platforms, and any email you send us). If our third-party analytics or advertising cookies were ever treated as a "sale" or "share" under California law, you can signal your choice with a browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we will honour where technically feasible, or by adjusting or blocking cookies in your browser. We do not knowingly process the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 for sale or sharing. You may exercise any of these rights, without receiving different treatment for doing so, by emailing editor@thelastswish.us; we may need to verify your request before acting on it, and an authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorisation.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
The site may be hosted in, and data processed in, the United States or other countries. By using the site you understand your information may be processed in a country other than your own.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
