The pineal gland: function vs mythology
This is the concept The Last Wish is named around. It is worth knowing what the gland does, why it picked up a mystical reputation, and which claims to be sceptical of.
What it actually does
The pineal gland is a pea-sized structure near the centre of the brain. Its established job is producing melatonin, the hormone that signals darkness and helps regulate the sleep-wake cycle. It receives light information routed from the eyes, so melatonin rises in the evening and falls in the morning. Melatonin also has antioxidant activity and a role in seasonal biological rhythms in many animals. That is the mainstream picture, a small, useful part of the body's clock.
Where the "third eye" idea comes from
The gland sits deep and central, is unpaired, and is tied to light, features that invited symbolic readings long before its biology was understood. Descartes called it the "seat of the soul." In several contemplative traditions the "third eye" is a metaphor for inner insight, located at the brow. The philosophy and the anatomy are related only by metaphor and history, not by a demonstrated mechanism.

The pineal gland commonly accumulates calcium deposits with age; this shows up on brain scans and is usually of no clinical concern. Heavy calcification has been associated in some studies with somewhat lower melatonin output and poorer sleep, and high fluoride exposure has been studied as one possible contributor. That is the extent of the solid science.
Not supported
There is no clinical evidence that diets, supplements, "cleanses" or audio tracks reverse pineal calcification, and no evidence that doing so would improve intuition, "consciousness" or your finances. The "Pineal Gland Decalcification Plan" bonus in The Last Wish is built on this unsupported premise. Some of its likely advice (limit screens at night, get morning light, sleep well) is reasonable sleep hygiene, but that helps your circadian rhythm, not a "third eye."
So is the product worthless?
